Bad times at Facebook High

ATTENTION BREAKING NEWS: FACE BOOK IS NOT REAL, I REPEAT FACE BOOK IS NOT REAL. In other words it doesn't constitute actual human interaction. If you are one of those people that live vicariously through your facebook status please feel free to delete me, no hard feelings. I, nor the rest of the world care when you have to do your business, while it is entertaining we do not need to read about the controversy that is or isn't your relationship status. Where I come from we do our laundry at home, if we have a problem we take it out at home. Seriously though, there is just to much emphasis put on facebook. If you read a status and believe that it is about you it probably is, but be adult enough to pick up the phone and CALL, yes I said CALL not TEXT that person and ask them what the heck their problem is. Facebook has taken away most peoples ability to communicate with one another in a actual face to face manor. Daily I read about the drama that unfolds in a lot of your lives and I shake my head and laugh. If I were having marital problems, family issues, or just personal problems I would never share them with the world of facebook. You do realize once you put something out on the inter-net it is there FOR EVER... and some day if they don't already your children will be able to read. Do you really want them to see the names that you or your ex have called each other. I don't know.. I sure wouldn't. Facebook has tore families apart believe me I know from first hand experience the damage that facebook can do. I am not going to hash out the details of it because it is not appropriate, and my mother taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say I shouldn't say anything at all.
Another reason this social network irritates me is, it does not substitute calling or going by and physically visiting with a member of your family or close friends. If you don't call and invite me I am not coming to your kids birthday party because you sent me an invite on facebook, if you really wanted me there you would have picked up the phone and invited me. Use the network the way it is intended to be used for networking, sharing photo's, updating far away family on how your family is doing, and as an information pool. So the moral to my blog is learn what is acceptable and don't put up anything you arn't prepared to stand behind if you are called out on it. Don't be elusive if you have a problem have the balls to deal with it.
